Kickstarter Update & More…

I don’t know about you, but this summer ended up being crazy busy. Which is funny in and of itself, because we really didn’t schedule or plan that much. It just sort of…happened.

One of the side effects of the general craziness is that I did not realize exactly how much time had passed and I got behind on updating things here.

I’d meant to post an announcement about how excited I was that my Kickstarter campaign for Blowback funded. Also meant to make a post when all of the digital rewards/stretch rewards went out. Clearly, neither of those things happened.

Ah, well.

At any rate, I can now happily announce that as of last week, all of the physical rewards for Blowback’s Kickstarter campaign have officially been fulfilled.

Thank you all again for your support, and I hope y’all enjoy your books! I’m still beyond thrilled to have gotten this book out early to some of you lovely readers.

Blowback will officially be published October 24.

In other news…

The last week of June, I was able to get away to Holland, Michigan for a few days on a girls’ trip with several good friends. I’d never been to Michigan before, and Holland is a neat city on Lake Michigan. I think one of my favorite things about it was the fact that there are trees everywhere and it gives the city (outside of the downtown area, which is cool) a feeling of being secluded when it’s really not.

It was nice to get away for a few days and just be myself, instead of Mom. Didn’t write as much as I had hoped (that was my fault for having expectations that were too high—I didn’t take into account the fact that my friends are all much more extroverted than I am and we were busy all day every day. LOL!), but that’s okay. It was a wonderful break.

Also, I did not realize how big a deal blueberries are in that part of Michigan. Blueberry-themed everything abounded, and, oh, my, were some of those things amazing! Had some incredible blueberry donuts, for example.

Writing Update…

On the writing front, I am thrilled to announce that about a month ago I reached the end of a project I’ve been working on most of this year. Sent the final draft off to my first reader and got it back, and I’ve been working through making the necessary edits.

I’ll have more to announce here in a couple of days. *grin* It’s going to be a lot of fun.

Hope y’all have had a good summer (or winter, if you’re in the Southern Hemisphere) and riding out this crazy weather. We haven’t had as much of the blistering high temperatures as we usually do in Southern Indiana in July and August, but we’ve definitely had the humidity.

Also, I’m not sure I’ve mentioned this here before now, but I’m expecting Baby #5 the beginning of October. By the grace of God, another little baby girl will be joining our family.  We’re excited, but, needless to say, air conditioning has definitely been my friend over this past summer!

Stay cool!
