Release News: ‘Head Case’

I am so excited to introduce you to my new Finder series. As I’ve mentioned in earlier posts, the idea of writing a detective on a space station hit me well over a decade ago. It’s taken a long time to get to this point. (Even later, considering the craziness that happened the first quarter of this year. I’d intended to announce this release in early January, but life happened.)

Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading this first novel, Head Case, as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Update & New Book News

I hope your 2021 is off to a good start. For my family, this first quarter of 2021 was pretty rough.

Baby #4 made her arrival in January—ten days early. She was breech and stubbornly refused to cooperate, which meant I had to have a c-section. Oh, my. I don’t know why I never realized before that a c-section is major abdominal surgery! She was worth it, but, good grief. *shakes head* Easiest delivery I’ve ever had, hardest recovery. She’s a beautiful baby, though, and her siblings adore her.

Wow, Just Wow…

Is 2020 shaping up to be an absolutely crazy year or what? I did a double-take when I saw the date on my last post—March 13. It feels like soooo much longer ago than just two months.

To be honest, March felt like it lasted a year, and then April topped it by stretching out to encompass an entire decade. I know I’m not alone—I think a good percentage of the world’s population has experienced that weird sense of time dilation. And then these first two weeks of May have been so cold, gloomy, and rainy that I feel like we traveled back in time and are reliving March again. So strange…

Past Due Update

Happy 2020! New year, new decade…it’s pretty amazing that we’re here already.

To get a few things out of the way first…

  • Yes, I’m alive.
  • Yes, I’m still writing. (More on that in a minute.)

The thing about raising tiny humans is that it seems to put time in flux. I know time has passed—my little ones aren’t as little—but I couldn’t quite grasp how it was slipping away from me. Case in point: I did not intend for there to be such a gap between my last post and this one!

But…I’ll cite aforementioned tiny humans and lack of sleep. Not much else I can say, really, other than thank God for coffee!
